One of the reasons I love Valentines Day so much is that it gives me an excuse to fill my house with the color pink! Growing up, my mom decorated for EVERY holiday and that tradition has stuck with me. There is just something cheerful about it. The past few days, I've been on the hunt for the perfect decorations to add to my collection! I'm going for subdued and classic, not cheesy and cheap looking.
I have already ordered some heart bunting from a few different places on Etsy.
I also want to get some letters to sit on my mantle. Since the TV is mounted above the fireplace I need letters that are no bigger than 5 inches tall. I went to Michaels and was about to find some that were the perfect height. What I'm doing with them is a surprise for now :)
West Elm has some great seasonal pieces that I am drooling over
How adorable are those??? I love that you could still use them after Valentines Day. Although I think you enjoy them more if you only use them for a few weeks each year. Another thing you could use after Valentines day as well are these Pottery Barn Votive holders

I'll be changing out some of the frames with some Valentines day printables. You can check out my list of 25 free Valentines printables here.
And what would Valentines Day be without flowers??? Yes, I know that stores jack up their prices for Valentines day and I know that flowers die but there is just something wonderful about having fresh flowers in the house. Yes, I'm a sucker. But you love me for it! {I hope}

Another easy way that I like to decorate for different holidays without having to buy a bunch of separate decorations is with a clear vase, some themed fillers and some pretty ribbon. Conversation hearts are my favorite Valentine's candy so I love this.
M&Ms, Redhots and Sprinkles are also popular for Valentines day. You could also use these little red felt hearts from Michaels or some pearls (especially easy if you have a bunch of those bead necklaces) or even some buttons that you group by color.
I definitely need something new to hang on the front door. These are the ones I'm trying to decide between:
